Education and creative engagement with the Visual Arts is at the heart of Heseltine Gallery’s ethos.
Each year we aim to host a wide variety of shows that provide interesting, imaginative, inspiring works for students to learn from. Our exciting programme of events changes yearly but we always aim to include at least one solo, one group and an open show annually. We directly link schemes of work with exhibitions, so that pupils can study art practise, concepts and techniques. Many of our artists offer in house workshops providing creative, interactive opportunities for students to engage with actual practise. Students often exhibit alongside guest artists and are involved with the curatorship of shows, helping them understand the complex process of putting an exhibition together and working with an artist.
Our doors are open to all our partner schools and we wholly invite art departments and community organisations across the county to visit and work from our plethora of resources.
